Q. I am installing new aluminum pistons which have a slot in them. Which direction does the slot go?
A.
The slot should go towards the thrust side of the engine, which is the left side. Th RH bank will have the slot on the
upper edge, whereas the LH bank will have it on the bottom edge. - Thanks to Earl Brown
